Mercedes SLK Spare Key in PO9 Havant
Master Auto Locksmith attended one of our regular car sales trader customers, a performance car company, with a Mercedes SLK which needed a spare key. A full diagnostic scan was performed on the vehicle, prior to programming, which scanned clear. The new Mercedes key was prepared, a new battery fitted and programmed within an hour, and fully tested along with the original key. Our Mercedes cars keys carry a 12 month warranty.

Master Auto Locksmith provide spare keys for Mercedes vehicles running the FBS3 immobiliser system. Cars running the FBS4 system are dealer only keys.
Mercedes FBS3 car keys are usually non-smart keys and use remote functionality to lock and unlock the vehicle, and work in the ignition EIS. The keys work in the EIS (Electronic Ignition Module) and do not have a key blade, although an emergency key blade is provided within the fob and can be cut to fit the door of the vehicle. There are some variants which use a full smart-proximity key, which operates the central locking when the vehicle is approached with the key.

Mercedes keys work with the EIS Electronic Ignition Unit
Independent auto locksmiths can program keys for Mercedes cars up to and including 2013, and Mercedes vans/commercial up to and including 2017. These are typically on the Mercedes FBS3 platform. Please note that Mercedes vehicles with the FBS4 immobiliser and Keys, are currently dealer only for spare and lost Mercedes keys.
Master Auto Locksmith operate from Southsea, in Portsmouth and Hampshire, providing auto locksmith services to private and commercial customers. We supply, cut and program keys for all manufacturers of vehicles, including Mercedes.
Specific to Mercedes vehicles, Master Auto Locksmith also offer services for EIS (electronic Ignition System) faults, such as repairs to failed Mercedes ESL (Electronic Steering Lock) in the form of an emulator, which we program to tell the ignition that the steering lock is off. We can also clone EIS data onto a donor EIS unit in the case where the EIS itself has failed. Again, we can work with anything up to and including FBS3.
