Master Auto Locksmith gained entry to a Ford Transit Custom on the Thorney Island army camp in PO10, West Sussex.
The locked Ford van had a fault which was inhibiting operation of the remote fob to unlock the vehicle. In addition, the mechanical key would not unlock the door, indicating either a fault on the lock or, the lock had been changed.

Picking The Ford Transit Door Lock on Thorney Army Camp
Using an HU101 lock pick, it became apparent that the Transit door lock was working, and was therefore pickable. This indicated that the door lock had been changed in the past, possibly following a theft attempt.
The HU101 pick was used to pick the door lock open on a Ford Transit Custom. Master Auto Locksmith visited Thorney Island Army Base to carry out the work.
I set about picking the Ford door lock, initially washing it out with WD40. Next I raked the lock for a minute or two with the pick. Carrying out an initial picking test attempt, it was apparent that two of the lock wafers were partially seized and would not pick. These were worked free over a period of about 20 minutes with picking and raking, and further use of WD40. Once raked and worked with the pick, the lock was left for a few minutes to penetrate whilst a sandwich was consumed, and a few missed phone calls returned.
Following this, the door lock was picked in about 10 minutes, gaining entry to the van. HU101 locks can be a challenge to pick open.
